Those who frequent the PLUS highway in Penang, take note. PLUS has announced a temporary road exit diversion at the Juru interchange, southbound. It starts today (June 21) and will go on until 11pm on July 29.
The work is to increase the capacity of the existing drainage system around the area, which is part of a flood mitigation programme. To enable the upgrading works to be carried out in stages, PLUS will activate a traffic diversion from the exit ramp towards Juru-Bukit Mertajam at Juru interchange, southbound.
This area is quite busy at the best of times, so expect some congestion. Drive safe and adhere to traffic signs in the area. Refer to the map above for an idea of where exactly the diversion is, and the flow.
